Aurelia is an online magazine that publishes a diverse range of thought-provoking work by marginalised genders; women, non-binary people and trans men.
We pride ourselves on our beautiful content and nurturing space. Aurelia cares about your thoughts, feelings and experiences – this is a platform that encourages you to tell your stories and feel your feelings, in all of their glory and all of their mess.
Every essay and article we publish is written from a first-person perspective, and every feature we publish allows the subject to tell their own story in their own words – we place a spotlight on the individual experience.
In the age of sensationalist, divisive media, we have created a strong, reliable community that thrives on compassion and creativity. There is no judgement here – pieces are always handled with the sensitivity, time and care that they deserve.
Aurelia was founded by Kya Buller in Manchester, England, in 2018. It is now a well-respected platform with an audience both loyal and growing. Since the beginning, we’ve been dedicated to giving our time and effort to forging our own very unique space for writers and artists.
We have now established some ways that you can support us if you like what we do and want us to keep going. Please consider becoming a member on Patreon, or with a one off donation via PayPal. There’s so much more to come, thank you for being here and believing in us. Be emotional! Tell your stories! In the end, we will all understand each other a little bit more.
